{Munchkins} Cooper | 6month

Courtney emailed me about doing a family session with their new addition, Cooper! He is 6 months and was as easy as pie. He knew exactly how to capture the camera! His big blue eyes and oh that hair (!!) just had me so excited. His parents took me to their alma-mater UNC-Charlotte. The gardens are having some construction but they were still open. I had never been there before and Courtney said she had just walked past them on the way to class. It was really a pretty place with some things in bloom, but the water features and the wooded area were perfect!

{You + Me} Ashley & Brandon | Get Hitched

In the midst of out-of-town weddings, I got this sweet invite to capture a coveted classy, comfy, cozy  DIY wedding in Davidson out at Historic Beaver Dam. I had never been there, but after entering the big white door with the tiny lock-- I know it would be nothing but charming. I loved how bare it was.. just enough to have a bit of glamour in this old wooden house. Nothing too over the top just simple and beautiful which describes the whole wedding.

This was one of the BEST weddings I have shot! The whole property was amazing. A historic barn in the back with an outdoor ceremony, a tent with chandeliers hanging, vintage details provided by the bride and friends, and a perfect s'mores station by the fire pit. PERFECTION!

The bride and groom got ready while some friends and family set up the whole soiree and we drove 2 miles down the street to this GORGEOUS yellow flower field I passed on the way in.. First looks are earlier than the ceremony when hair and makeup is freshly done, the photos haven't been overtaken, and the bride and groom really get to enjoy seeing each other for the first time..alone.. well almost. There's often more time to go find little gems (like the flower garden) and take more photos of just the two of them enjoying the fact they are going to be together forever.

They said "I do" at a simple little rustic barn out back. The sun peeked out for a moment and just glistened on the bride and groom. Short and sweet and totally storybook!

STAY TUNED FOR PART ii!
