Tip 7/31 for the New Year!
Tip 7/31- marriage isn't 50/50 it's 100/100!
Let's face it, marriage is not always like the movies. Yes it has it's ups and downs, but not every day is going to be "what you thought." Yes, you fight, you bicker, you complain, you like different things, etc..
That's OKAY and totally normal!
If your marriage is something that you made a New Year's Resolution, here are some books that can get ya going in the right direction! Turn off those romantic comedies and get to work!
Newlyweds:
"The First 90 Days of Marriage" Eric and Lesley Ludy
(you can certainly read it even if you are not a newlywed)
Living the Love Dare: A Year of Reminders- (this sits on our bathroom counter, and the first time we read them it was amazing how much you need to be reminded about what love is and what love DOES)
Not that newly:
"What's it like to be Married to Me" Linda Dillow
(this works great as a small group)
Anytime:
Power of a Praying Wife (or Husband) by Stormie Omartian
Let me know what you're reading!

{Munchkins} Jayden | Newborn
Emily lived just down the street from last month's baby, Molly Kate. So fun that these mommas are friends, neighbors, and have SUCH cute new babes (Molly Kate's feature will be coming soon)! Emily and her husband welcomed sweet baby Jayden into their lives just before Christmas! I love walking into meet my clients and feeling like we are friends. They were so inviting and so trusting with me posing baby Jayden. I absolutely love when clients trust me with their loved ones and with my creativity. What a SWEET Christmas gift!

{Munchkins} Lucas | Newborn
One of the things I love about newborn shoots is getting to know the family. In this case, Lucas's grandma and great-grandma were both able to be a part of the session. During breaks or while the baby was getting nursed, I really enjoyed getting to know them! Great-grandma was the one who gifted the session and it was great that they all got to take part in the behind the scenes/ dressing up/ little moments that all lead to these awesome pics. It's so nice when new moms feel comfortable and trust me creatively-- that's what really makes my job special!
This session was all the way in Columbia, SC! But it was definitely worth the drive getting to meet this sweet family!
