4/31 Tips for the New Year

I know a lot of pregnant mommies and some that have recently given birth and others that will ONE day be a mom. Today's tip is how to get back your pre-pregnant body with minimal effort. 2 products I recommend are the Belly Bandit and the Shrinxx Hips. You can wear them the 1st 6 weeks after birth to tighten AND SHRINK your floppy belly and loosened hips.

I didn't KNOW for sure if it would work, but I rather be skeptical and give a shot rather than wonder if it worked AFTER the fact. And for me, it totally worked. I went down 2 sizes smaller than I had ever been. (obviously some of that attributes to being busy and eating right).

It also makes a GREAT gift for any mommy-to-be's that you know that want to look fab after having a sweet bundle of joy!

Day 3/31 Tips for the New Year

Tip 3/31 for the New Year- turn OFF the TV and turn ON the music! day time talk shows and evening reality shows can suck you in but music keeps you active :)

Day 2/31: 31 Tips for the New Year

Day 2:
Stay busy.
I gained a total of 4 pesky pounds over the holiday between thanksgiving and Christmas. Normally I am super busy and on the go. Over the holidays I was semi-forced to rest (but completely grateful) but now is the time to get going again. 

Being idle slows your metabolism and boredom draws you to the snacks (and my pitfall is SWEETS.

Fun things to do:

*Walk the mall... even just to window shop.
*Go thrifting... travel to thrift shops around town with a friend... you can spend hours walking the aisles at The Depot at Gibson mill
*have a race or contest with the fam
*Get a fun workout dvd (turbo kick is my fav... Kinsley gets a kick out of squats- she thinks I'm playing some sort of peek-a-boo game with her haha)
*take a class
*teach a class

Day 1/31 Days of tips for the New Year

Day 1- 

Healthy tip #1 for the new year: Instead of eating out, find their menu online and recreate it at home substituting things as you go such as wheat or gluten free in pasta or bread. My fave restaurant to get salad recipes right now is Travinia!http://www.traviniaitaliankitchen.com/travinia-lunch-menu.php

For instance: 
spinach with grilled chicken, spinach tortellini with cheese, roasted cherry tomatoes and fresh grated parmesan tossed in basil olive oil vinaigrette  

OR

romaine tossed in panera's fuji apple dressing, with chopped fuji apples and sliced red grapes with toasted pecans and a tiny bit of gorgonzola cheese.
