Melissa and Brett welcomed their baby boy, Cole Joseph, on April 30th. He is the sweetest little thing! He was truly PERFECT. His nursery was adorable- grays and creams with a pop of sea foam green. She did an amazing job! Melissa looked SO beautiful too! Both his parents passed down their good looks to this GORGEOUS little boy. She had a lot of great props to use, too! I was in love with her baskets and the bench!

I could just eat him up! Look at those eyes!

May Family Sesh

I had so much fun getting together with Ann and her family (again)! I took photos of her family when she was pregnant and then when her little girl was just under 3 months... and now she'll be turning two in August! This family is full of beauty and fun. Her handsome son is so curious, he was loving the park, especially the fish. He asked every fisherman a question or two and even caught a baby frog! Chloe loved picking flowers and playing with daddy. They love spending time together, even if it is just chasing the kiddos and watching them explore life! I loved catching them laughing, learning to skip rocks, being silly and just enjoying each other's company!

I absolutely ADORE these!

Bryleigh's turning ONE!

Sarah and I met for coffee routinely to chat about pregnancy since we were both due in May. She was due one week after I was. The day of my due date I get a text that Sarah's in labor! I was SO jealous and happy at the same time! As soon as little miss Bryleigh was born, I was up at the hospital holding her in my arms. I remember her starting to cry, but I calmed her down (this was a never in my history with holding babies haha). I can't believe it was almost a year ago!

Now we meet for playdates errands and let the girls baby talk while we chat about being a new mom. Sarah has done a great job and I love texting to get her opinion on things going on with Kins. I hope the girls can be friends for a long time!

Bryleigh is such a girly girl. She likes to play with shoes, makeup, and jewelry. She definitely knows what she wants and she always has a smile on. She is their first baby and she is definitely a godsend. For her birthday, Sarah has asked for donations to help a baby cottage in Africa! She was SO not into smashing the cake haha! This princess is not into getting dirty. But just in case, we had an adorable bubble bath set up! So cute!

Ansley's ONE.. part 1

Lauren and I were pregnant at the same time last year. I was stalking her facebook continuously for updates on if she had contractions, if she posted the name, if she was going to be induced, etc, etc. Miss Ansley came early just before Easter last year. I was SO excited for Lauren and thought maybe if I could just get near her (even in cyberspace) the early contractions would rub off on me too haha. (No such luck). I saw lauren post the first pic of Ansley in her carrier matching her beautiful momma kneeling at their doorstep. She just glowed!

Flash forward 1 whole year later and now we are celebrating our little babies' birthdays just a month a part! I was so excited to bring Kinsley over for her first birthday party invite, while secretly shopping for ideas haha. Picnic and Kites with vintage accents. ADORABLE! She worked really hard and it showed! Ansley loved just scooting around and soaking up the attention, while still slightly unaware that everyone was there just for HER!

The Boone's

29+ years of marriage, and still as happy as the were on their wedding day!

They are all dressed up to go to Charlotte Style Magazine Event at Butter because my dad was selected as one of Charlotte's 25 most stylish! Wow! Go dad! Red carpet, VIP, goodie bags, the works and took home the honor of best stylish in business. Speaking of business, BooneOakley advertising has been doing BIG things. They will be featured on AMC's new show "The Pitch" that premiers April 30th. My daughter Kinsley and I got to have lunch with him on one of the days they were filming so maybe we'll make the editing cut?? haha. I am SO lucky and honored to have a dad that is not only successful by the world's standards, but even more so by God's standards. He has all the opportunity in the world and the temptations that come with it, and I am BEYOND proud to know that he doesn't ever lower his standards just to fit in with the crowd or to get far. I look up to the fact he doesn't drink, despite all the celebration; he doesn't cuss, despite the lows; and he has eyes for only ONE woman- married to his highschool sweetheart for 29+ years! NOW THAT is an HONOR!

My mom is the most giving person I know. She always puts others first, and it was fun shopping with her and helping her pick out an outfit just for HER. She works extremely hard as a nurse, wife, and mother. Her stories from the hospital would drive anyone away from wanting to be a nurse, but she LOVES it. She is also a woman of God, sharing her testimony with whoever needs to hear it, and being the hands and feet of God in a place that not everyone wants to serve. She has blessed our family so much and we are so thankful to have her in our lives! (and living so close by!)
